ECU Remapping & Performance Tuning Disclaimer – Ace Fabrication Ltd
By proceeding with ECU remapping, performance tuning, or
modification services performed by Ace Fabrication Ltd, the customer
acknowledges and agrees to the following terms:
• All tuning and calibration work is carried out within what Ace Fabrication Ltd considers to be safe operating parameters for the specific vehicle and engine at the time of tuning.
• Performance tuning and vehicle modifications may increase stress on engine, turbocharger, transmission, drivetrain, and associated components, which may result in accelerated wear, damage, or failure.
• Ace Fabrication Ltd accepts no liability for any engine, turbocharger, transmission, drivetrain, electrical, mechanical failure, or consequential damage occurring during or after tuning services have been completed.
• No warranty or guarantee is provided on any ECU remap, tune, calibration, or performance modification service.
• Ace Fabrication Ltd cannot control how the vehicle is driven, used, maintained, fuelled, loaded, raced, or otherwise operated after tuning has been completed. Responsibility for vehicle operation and maintenance remains solely with the vehicle owner/operator.
• It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure the vehicle is mechanically sound and properly maintained before and after tuning work is undertaken.
• ECU remapping or vehicle modifications may void manufacturer, dealer, aftermarket, or mechanical warranties. It is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to confirm warranty implications prior to authorising tuning work.
• Any DPF delete, EGR delete, or emissions-related tuning may require emissions compliance testing following completion of the tune. Compliance with all applicable New Zealand laws, regulations, certification, and emissions requirements remains the responsibility of the vehicle owner, unless stated otherwise.
• Ace Fabrication Ltd will only provide warranty coverage on physical parts supplied and installed by Ace Fabrication Ltd, and workmanship directly carried out by Ace Fabrication Ltd. No warranty is provided for engine components, driveline components, or any other vehicle systems affected by performance tuning or vehicle use.
• By authorising tuning work, the customer accepts all risks associated with modified vehicle performance and releases Ace Fabrication Ltd from any liability relating to vehicle failure, damage, loss, or consequential costs.
Hard Cut Limiter Disclaimer – Ace Fabrication Ltd
A hard cut limiter is a performance tuning feature that
aggressively cuts ignition and/or fuel at a predetermined RPM limit. This
feature is commonly used in motorsport and performance applications; however,
it may increase stress on engine, turbocharger, exhaust, drivetrain, and
associated vehicle components.
By requesting or authorising a hard cut limiter remap, the
customer acknowledges and agrees to the following:
• Hard cut limiter functions may cause accelerated wear or failure of engine, turbocharger, exhaust, catalytic converter, drivetrain, and related components due to sudden ignition/fuel interruption, combustion shock, and increased exhaust pressure.
• Use of a hard cut limiter may produce loud noises, flames, popping, backfiring, or emissions-related effects that may not comply with road-use regulations in certain applications.
• Ace Fabrication Ltd accepts no liability for any engine damage, turbocharger damage, drivetrain failure, exhaust damage, or consequential loss resulting from the installation or use of a hard cut limiter.
• Hard cut limiter calibrations are configured within safe operating parameters for the vehicle at the time of tuning.
• No warranty or guarantee is provided on any hard cut limiter tune, calibration, or related performance tuning feature.
• Ace Fabrication Ltd cannot control how the vehicle is driven, maintained, operated, or used after tuning has been completed. Responsibility for vehicle operation remains solely with the vehicle owner/operator.
• Ace Fabrication Ltd will only warranty physical parts supplied and installed by Ace Fabrication Ltd, and workmanship directly carried out by Ace Fabrication Ltd.
• By authorising installation of a hard cut limiter remap, the customer accepts all risks associated with modified vehicle performance and releases Ace Fabrication Ltd from any liability relating to vehicle failure, damage, loss, or consequential costs.
