An exhaust flexi pipe is a corrugated, stainless steel component in a vehicle's exhaust system designed to absorb engine movement and vibrations, preventing stress and cracking of exhaust components like manifolds and downpipes. This allows a slight amount of movement that can help when aligning or fastening exhaust flanges and V-Band's. As well as soak up linear movement, as the exhaust system heats up and expands during use. The semi-flexible section is wrapped with an external mesh to enhance strength and durability.
